I played the best the SNES had to offer to death growing up and very seldom desire to revisit the system, but when I'm in a retro mood I do reach for my genesis mainly because those games are newer to me. I tend to like shooters, platformers, fighters, and match-3. It would be a close race if I didn't look at my playing habits. TMNT 4 (SNES) Music: Climactic Battle Extended HD.

I'm now well over 160+ Genesis games now, but that's from buying ebay lots with some fodder that I'd never have bought alone. (1007.81 KB) Download Sunset Riders SNES OST Dark Horse MP3 & MP4. When I got my first genesis over a decade ago I saw that lots of the games that I had only read about were well deserving of their reputations (Gunstar, Lightning Force, and Contra: Hard Corps to name a few). I had 60 or so SNES games growing up and, due to reading Gamepro, EGM, and Gamefan cover-to-cover every month, they were among best reviewed games on the platform. You have to actually have put some effort into researching the library to name off the best Genesis games. Sega still puts Altered Beast, Golden Axe and other first gen stuff on genesis front and center making Tinhead, Ristar, Batman & Robin, or Crusader of Centy seem comparatively obscure. You can "herp derp" your way to a respectable top 20 on SNES by just looking at what Nintendo's pushing on Virtual Console or looking at what franchises are still going (RIP F-Zero). Zombies Ate My Neighbors doesn't really count as it was made by Lucas Arts, but it was equally great on both consoles. 3 (V1.1) (USA) GBA Pokemon Gold Version (USA Europe) GBC Pokemon White Version (Europe) NDS Super Mario All-Stars (USA) SNES Pokemon Sapphire Version (V1.1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters was pretty half ass compared to the SNES counterpart, Sunset Riders could've been handled better on the Genesis, I have never played the Tiny Toon/ Animaniacs or Lethal Enforcers games so I can't compare those. Pokemon Crystal Version (V1.1) (USA Europe) GBC Donkey Kong Country (V1.2) (USA) SNES Pokemon Platinum Version (US) (USA) NDS Super Mario Advance 4 Super Mario Bros.

The game has some great renditions of the SNES music though. It is still a solid beat em up on the Genesis and I actually think it controls better than the SNES game, but it still was slapped together from assets from the original TMNT arcade game and Turtles in Time. TMNT Hypersstone Heist was alright, but felt like a B-team effort compared to Turtles in Time. They also released Snatcher on the Sega CD which was a classic. Bloodlines is totally underrated, Rocket Knight was one of the best original mascot games on the Genesis, and Hardcorps can sit right up there with Contra III as far as I am concerned. those are not multiplatform games, they were Genesis originals and were awesome.
